***FIRST TO REPORT*** ***MUST CREDIT COMPLETECOLORADO.COM*** Share July 17, 2011 CompleteColorado.com is first to publish an "informational" flyer passed out as part of a back to school information packet in the Brighton 27 J school district. The header and footer to the note include the logo and URL for a political action committee, "Great Ed Action." The parent that provided the information to CompleteColorado.com said that the flyer was in the same color paper as other back to school informational papers. That is significant because, 1) it raises the possibility that school resources were used to create this flyer and/or 2) the flyer was meant to look like other school communications, thereby giving it more "authority." Great Ed Action describes itself as a "nonpartisan, advocacy organization focused on improving public education in Colorado through wise, increased investment in our schools, colleges and universities." It is a registered issue committee with the Colorado Secretary of State's office. The organization's website also positively supports the appearance of Heath's proposed tax increase on the ballot. ***END OF REPORT*** MEDIA NOTE: Unless you or your organization obtained this document from the Brighton 27 J school district, you must credit CompleteColorado.com.
