FORT COLLINS–As part of a statewide bill signing tour, Colorado Governor Jared Polis on Friday signed at least five pieces of recently passed legislation into law during Front Range ceremonies encompassing Fort Collins, Lakewood and Broomfield.
The bills signed include:
House Bill 25-1211 adds new requirements for special districts to consider when establishing water service tap fees for new developments.
House Bill 25-1292 establishes new rules for placing high-voltage transmission lines in state highway rights-of-way
House Bill 25-1281 paves the way for Coloradans to title, license and drive “classic” Kei cars, which are small, fuel efficient Japanese vehicles that do not generally meet regular US vehicle safety standards. To qualify as a classic, the Kei car must be at least 25 years old
House Bill 25-1010 further expands the definition of so-called “price gouging” in Colorado by prohibiting a more than 10 percent increase in the price of goods or services after a declared disaster emergency.
Senate Bill 25-154 clarifies “access to educator pathways,” meaning the pursuit of endorsements to a professional teaching license, such as for early childhood or special education.
The 2025 Colorado legislative session concluded on May 7.
