Hardaway: Colorado joins NPV, but Electoral College isn’t going away

Since 1787 there have been over 700 attempts to “abolish” the Electoral College. All have failed when confronted with Article V of the U.S. Constitution, which provides that “no state, without its consent, shall be deprived of its equal suffrage in the Senate.”

Rosen: Colorado voters get final say on National Popular Vote

If a majority of Coloradans, including independents, vote “NO,” on NPV in November 2020, we’ll be withdrawn from the NPV Compact and Coloradans ─ not New Yorkers or Californians ─will determine which presidential candidate gets our state’s nine electoral votes.
